On the eighth day of Christmas...

Eight of my favorite handmade projects:

Newest creation: owl slippers!! I found this pattern on Ravelry and I absolutely love it! I only had to rip out one row because I screwed it up. I made one pair for Brandi (the pink ones) and one for myself (the teal ones). I hate the yarn that it calls for (Caron Simply Soft) because it pulls apart so easily on the hook, but I powered through and these are so awesome!! I can't wait to show her tonight - she has no idea that these are her surprise. :)

This is a fingerless glove that I made for a friend. I made her a cowl last year for Christmas and she loved it so much that she requested a hat and mitts. I had made her mitts before but she keeps those at her desk so she wanted matching accessories. The cloche at the bottom of this post is the matching hat I made for her. :)

JJ and I went to All Fired Up and painted ornaments - we had so much fun! I hope they do it again next year. :)

This is The Jen Hat. This particular hat is destined for my friend's head, but you can buy your very own in our shop. With this hat comes a donation to the Jennifer Merendino Memorial Foundation to aid cancer patients. Each purchase will result in $15 donation to the fund. Not only are you getting a handmade item, but you're getting the opportunity to share a monetary gift that will help those who are in pain and in the most need. This hat is wearable by men or women. It's got a bit of the 'hipster slouch' going on so it's great for those of us with pony tails or teens. It's made with acrylic/wool blend yarn and is super warm.

This is a koala hat I made for my friend in Germany. I have to get that package sent out to her - it's been so nuts around here. I am pretty excited about this hat - it's so cute!! And warm!

This is the hugs and kisses headwrap from Micah Makes. I got to test the pattern and then went ahead and made a million for friends and family. I even made one for our dog groomer!!

My amazing dining room table. (You can see more about that here.)

Cloche hat I made for my friend to match her cowl and fingerless mitts. :)

So, there you go. Happy New Year, everyone!!

  1. I love the fingerless gloves, cloche hat and the headwrap. Do you sell them all in your store?
