Ruffle Clutch

I participated in another sew along with See Kate Sew and this time it was a ruffle clutch! Last time we did the Sweet Scallops Tote. So cute and simple!

I wanted to do something a little different with her idea and I've had this football team pillow sham lying around forever so I figured what better time to use it?

I snagged a fat quarter of football fabric and some white polka dot fabric and set to work on this guy. I really love how it turned out!

I added a strip of pleated fabric down the middle so it looked like the finger grips on a football. :)

So now I can carry this to watch the games at the local pub and feel a little girly in my jersey while cheering on my Cleveland Browns. :)

Thanks for another awesome sew along, Kate! :)

Make sure you check out Brandi's watermelon clutch!! She's so clever!

PS: If you know me in real life, you know I injured myself today with the sewing machine. This project is not the abuser, I was prepping some fabric for pre-washing and went too fast and got my finger under the needle. So I'm all bandaged up and kept right on trucking with this guy. :)
